Membership and Representation

VÚS

- Performs the function of the National Secretariat of the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) in the Slovak Republic.

- Participates in the work of following international project teams and working groups:

• EFIS MG (EFIS Maintenance Group) - a group working within an organization CEPT (Conférence Européenne des Administrations des Postes et Télécommunications) whose main task is to keep ECO Frequency Information System (EFIS) to date
• WG FM (Working Group Frequency Management) - a group working within CEPT, which is responsible for developing strategies, plans and implementation advice for the management of the radio spectrum. It covers the work of several project teams.

- Is a member of Technical Commissions (TK) serving as technical advisory bodies to the Director of the Department of Technical Standardisation of the Slovak Office of Standards, Metrology and Testing:

• TK 7 – Land communications (Roads)
• TK 10 - Electrical household appliances and power tools (VÚS employee is a chairman of the Commission)
• TK 34 - Electromagnetic compatibility
• TK 41 - Telecommunications (VÚS employee is a chairman of the Commission)
• TK 53 - Cables and electrical insulating materials
• TK 82 - Electrical equipment and switchgears
• TK 80 - Radiocommunications (VÚS employee is a chairman of the Commission)

- Is a member of national associations and groups:

• Slovak Electrotechnical Society (SES)
  • Branch of SES by the Research Institute of Posts and Telecommunication, n.o. Banská Bystrica
• Slovak Association for Cable Telecommunications (SAKT)
• Communication Technology Forum (CTF)
• Group for Digital Broadcasting (SKDV)

- Is a member of the European Technology Platform for communications networks and services:
